IMG Industries Inc. manufactures Mawsley Mining’s “Personnel Transporters and Utility/Maintenance Vehicles" equipped with a FlameTec UK flameproof package for coal/gassy mines. With some modifications, these vehicles can also be utilized for use in hard-rock mines. The machines’ rugged construction and quality build allow them to withstand the harsh environments of underground mining. Equipped with a hydrostatic-propelled system, consisting of four wheel-drive heavy off-road axles driven by a powerful diesel engine, ensures the machine’s constant speed in steep inclines and declines. In conjunction with wet park/emergency/service brake system (in case of hydraulic pressure loss) these machines are fail-safe and therefore make transportation of personnel exceptionally safe. Four wheel and crab steering ensures good maneuverability in confined spaces. Also, due to the heavy-duty design and construction, these machines require minimum maintenance compare to other vehicles used for transportation in underground hard-rock mining.
